WHAT WE UNDERSTAND THE LAW TO SAY

We acknowledge that tax evasion is a crime and punishable by law, however we also believe tax reduction is not only wise financial planning but agree with the Supreme Court that this is the legal responsibility of all citizens. We recognize and acknowledge that those who choose to use contract trusts as part of their estate planning are not relieved of any taxes they may personally be liable for. We also recognize there will in fact be tax consequences related to using contract trusts in the event such a trust either becomes involved in a taxable activity, is dissolved or makes distributions to a taxpayer. This may occur during the life of the trust or when the trust is dissolved and assets formally held in trust are distributed to a taxpayer. If there is in fact a tax liability it is our firm position that any such taxes must be paid.

We  believe there is a need for a limited, central government as called for by the Founding Fathers and circumscribed within the Constitution; that no man, including those in government, is ABOVE the written Law; that the government in meeting its needs for revenue as well as in all other matters must adhere to the Law just as "We The People" must; that the government has the authority to collect all lawfully imposed taxes pursuant to the rules and restrictions as prescribed in the Constitution, but has NO authority to exceed those mandates. Hopefully you, as a public servant to the People, agree. As Thomas Jefferson said, "In questions of power, then, let no more be said of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution".
